Glen
Meadows Golf and Country Club is one of the only true country clubs on
Vancouver Island. The golf course members call it one of Victoria's best kept secrets.
Founded in 1965, Glen Meadows includes an 18 hole championship
golf course, six sheets of curling ice, three colour-coated and night-illuminated
tennis courts, and a clubhouse with full amenities. Surrounded by picturesque
mountains, majestic Garry Oak trees, and located only twenty minutes north
of Victoria in Sidney, Glen Meadows is ideal for green fee players and
members alike. There are four sets of tees on the course to accommodate
all levels of play, making our course challenging for experienced golfers
and suitable for those new to the game. A full size driving range, practice
sand trap and putting green neighbor the Rae Criddle Memorial fountain.
As a semi-private club, Glen Meadows is open to the public daily for golf, tennis, breakfast, and lunch. Club members receive preferred booking privileges with unlimited use of the course. Green fee players may book through the pro shop after the weekly member's draw has been posted and limited advance bookings maybe made through the office. Group bookings of twenty or more are welcome. Our green fee rates are some of the most competitive in the region. Glen Meadows has hosted many prestigious tournaments such as the BC Open, the World Left Handers, and the Canadian Qualifying Tour. We are proud to be the home club of some of the most successful golfers in the province.
The Pro Shop takes pride in its full line of clothing and quality golf equipment. Our CPGA Professional Robin Hutchinson is happy to give lessons to anyone wanting help with their game. Power cart rentals, club rentals, and pull cart rentals may be arranged through the Pro Shop.
Glen Meadows is the perfect setting for hosting unforgettable wedding receptions, ceremonies, conferences, seasonal parties, banquets, luncheons, and other celebrations. After your game, enjoy a refreshment from our selection of local wines and beers on one of the two outdoor decks overlooking the golf course or tennis courts. The clubhouse consists of the curling lounge, the dining room, the coffee shop, men's and ladies' locker rooms complete with showers and saunas, a two hundred guest capacity banquet hall, a fully licensed bar and lounge, and one of the largest solid maple dance floors in the area. With a friendly and experienced staff Glen Meadows will try to accommodate any special requests you may have.
Dress code is enforced. Attire must be clean and appropriate. Golf slacks,
tailored shorts (at least mid thigh in length), jeans that are neat and
tidy, and collared shirts are permitted. Ladies may also wear skirts and
fashion collared tops. Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times. Graphic
or logo tee-shirts, gym wear, sleeveless tops, cutoffs, and faded jeans
are not acceptable. No metal spikes are permitted from May 1st through
to November 1st. Members are responsible for their guests.
